ahh chooo!

I think if anyone in my house is going to get a cold it is me... I take my vitamins and eat mostly the right stuff and BAM ! I am down!!! Woman down... send in the doctors!
I am actually ok now, just sniffles here and there and my baby boy has a caugh now :(

Well, last week ended pretty sad for us and we will be heading to Clinton, Ok for a funeral for Derek's grandfather, he was such a kind person and I am going to miss him a lot.

Walking

I walked the local mall early this morning after dropping of the daughter and hubby, it was so nice. The mall is a great place to walk with the air conditioning, great stuff to look at like shoes, clothes and games I want.. did I also say airconditioning?
So this is something I am going to try each day and baby seemed to enjoy the getting out too... we'll see if I can stick to it.

Ahh

I am so glad it is the weekend! It is just nice to have adult interaction and be able to say, “ Hey need help here… take Max for a minute”. Max has been so cute the past couple of days and really smiling a lot and even cracking up. I now feel like he actually likes me and is not mad at me… lol if you do not know what I mean just trust me, he is demanding.

I know I am a big and was really big when I was pregnant but the responce "Holy Roly Poly" is really rude dont ya think? Well even though I know it is true it is not something I need to hear and it is a shame because it was posted in a forum of a guild I belong to online. Oh well I guess I can ignore it and think about maybe moving on ward and upward or just know that men are rude asses.
My weight is something I am working on fyi, I am not ignorant I know I am fat but I should not even have to explain my plan of losing to anyone.

Cats in the Cradle

This weekend was good, I got a little bit more done to the baby's room and made a few candles.

Sunday was my daughter's step sister's birthday and it was pretty fun BUT it is not often I get to frankly discuss that side of the family. My ex and Renee (step-daughters mom) are on again off again all the time. They fight to the point of blood sometimes and she is usually the one drawing the blood she also has two children from her marriage (still married) that are just sad. I love children but these children make me sad one is obviously a bit mentally retarded and very aggressive toward the step sister that is 6 years old now and then there is the bi-polar brother that is about 16 now and has been in and out of juvenile, drug/alcohol rehab maybe one or twice, and the step sister is so tiny... did Renee take care of herself at all during pregnancy? I lost one3 baby due to a fluke of nature but to have this many children with flaws like that is outrageous and they were all "accidence". Renee drinks, smokes and I am sure smokes pot too and I am 100% sure Courts dad does as well and they live by the do as I say and not as I do philosophy in life... when has this ever worked out? Courtney thinks he is a joke and struggles to even get motivated to see him and if I had my way she would never see him, but then I would not be a good mom and would be can you believe breaking the law if I did not let her see him.
Back to the party, well the little birthday girl was just as cute as can be and all in pink but mom and dad were frowning and muttering how hard it was to throw the party and bitching about the price and that the little girl would not be able to ride the bumper cars… just on and on and on. This poor kid did not ask for you to throw this party and she also did not need to hear her parents that were hung over from the night before talking about the bother it is. My daughters dad still is rarely in Courtney’s life and I threw her parties for years and never once not even while pregnant with her was she a bother. He is such an idiot and during the party while my daughter and husband are standing there Renee proceeds to talk about child support and how much is taken out of his check each month…… what? Why on earth do you care Renee? Why is that your business, why do you care that he paid me $135. for four months and for years nothing. I only have one person on earth I hate and that is Courtney’s father. All I can do in life is love my kids and protect them as much as I can, but so help me if he influences her in anyway with his awful ways I will make sure the Courts take every right he has and since I know my daughter so well I know that she would never go down that path.

TURKEY!

This week will be my last week at the assignment I am on at LCRA and I have to say it has been really nice and not a bad view from where I work right near the lake.
Yesterday while Derek drove me into work we saw the cutest thing ever, a Turkey hen had gotten herself on the other side of her fence at the biological research center down the road from the office. She would run for about ten steps and then turn and run ten steps, back n forth along the fence line, she wanted back in! Derek called the number on their fence and they said something like “oh dear where is she” I guess she gets jumps out a lot. I think you would have to see to get the effect too, only in Austin I tell you!
