You can never be too cute.

I love this site! I first read about on Pop Candy and I have been addicted since then.

Valentines day

I really have never had a bad valentines day. Nothing horrible has ever happened and I never made a big fuss over it. When I was child this was a fun day, there is usually a party and passing out cards and candy. When I was a teen I would get a rose from friends and maybe a boyfriend and as an adult I really only had one boyfriend on valentines and all I wished for was him to get lost. Well next Valentines he was gone but I had a precious present from him… my daughter the only good that he has ever done. Well, Valentines for me was about family from then on out and I taught her that Valentines is our day! I wanted her to know that everyone has someone in their life that loves them and I think she is better for this. Once Derek was in our lives I had to teach her that we can share this day as well.

There are a ton of people that stay in relationships until they heal or get better… god! Dose that works ever? I have tried this twice and then said NO more. These are the rules that I set in stone.

*If you cheat once you will cheat again (phy or verbal same in my book) this has happened to me once.
If you lie about important stuff or where you have been, then you don’t consider me as a friend, why should I?
Drugs and Drinking to be about to have a personality. I have no time in my life for this.

It was nice having five days off. I really needed to take care of myself. Last Wednesday I decided that this night owl was tired of going to bed each night at 9:00 pm and I stayed up until 1:00am. Waking up at 6:30am after not getting my full nights sleep and being pregnant are not mixing so well for me. I woke up and felt like I had a hangover, I rolled over told Derek I was not going in and called work. I slept until about 11:30 and then felt weak all day after that. I also stayed in on Friday because I just want to make sure that I am ok and I feel better now.

Derek’s folks were in this weekend and they are so great! They suggest that we pull up the carpet in our cat’s room, something we have wanted to do for a long time but could not afford. So we got some great flooring and it now makes me want to remodel the whole house.

Monday I had my first OB appointment and I like my doctor! He tried to find the heart beat but since I am still pretty early on he said, “You wanna a free sono?” HECK YEAH! For any mothers to be this is a dream question to have asked. He took us all in the sono room and instantly we see this little Cupie doll shaped baby and the baby was moving around and we could see the arms and legs! My whole week has been made now, I know that the baby is growing up and that I am still doing ok.

Wow a new year and it seems a new job is on the horizons for me . I have been at my current job for over 16 months as a contract to hire, but my contact company changed management and do not show that I am… and while they are screwing around with my life, the place where I work has decided to bow out of that contract and just hire someone. I am not bitter because I really need to be somewhere that is more structured and has more people. So here I am three weeks away from not working…wow! I know that I can’t not work but gee that sounds nice. I will of course be temping and when the time is right go to school and finally be a grown up! So do not be surprised one day when you go to have blood work done and its me drawing your blood. I am going to be phlebotomists and then eventually get my nursing degree… I think being a nurse at 75 will be a comfort.... I feel like an old lady just starting out.
